The man was working on a boat at the time and was an employee of Splash and Wax, according to the Ontario Ministry of Labour. 

It was not immediately known if the boat being worked on was a private or commercial vessel.

First responders performed life-saving measures on a male patient and later took him to hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The man was pronounced dead in hospital approximately three hours after the rescue.

The Ministry of Labour said they have been informed of the fatality and extend their “deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the worker during this difficult time.”

ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ police and the Ministry of Labour are investigating the incident.
