Suspect sought in separate, ‘unprovoked’ assaults on two older men in the same Mississauga park
The men in their 70s were each struck from behind with a weapon, on different days, as they walked through the park. Peel police believe the same suspect may be responsible, and ask anyone with information to contact them.
Peel police are searching for a suspect after two older men were injured in “unprovoked” attacks from behind in the same Mississauga park.Â
A 73-year-old man was walking in Ìý²Ô±ð²¹°ù just after 1 p.m. on Sept. 19 when a man came up behind him and struck him with a weapon. The suspect then fled the area, according to a from Peel police.Â
The suspect is described as a 25-to-35-year-old male, six-feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black baseball hat, a black T-shirt, dark grey pants and black running shoes at the time of the assault.Â

On Friday, a 77-year-old man was walking in the same park around 12:30 p.m. when he was approached from behind and struck with a weapon before the suspect fled.
The suspect is described as a male, 30-35 years of age, five-foot-eight with a medium build and was wearing a dark-coloured T-shirt and jean shorts at the time of the attack.
Both victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Â
Police believe the suspect may be the same man in both incidents and are asking anyone with information to call them at 905-453-2121, extension 1233 or anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
